Paleokastritsa is one of the well known resorts of Corfu Island. What is typical in these beaches is the green blue deep waters. Paleokastritsa is formed by six voes [Agios Spyridon, Agia Triada, Agios Petros, Ambelaki, Platakia and Alipa] and one small picturesque fish port.

Where it is
It is situated at 25 km [ 15.5 miles] from Corfu Town, on the northwestern part of the island.

Landscape
Paleokastritsa offers a very variable landscape. It combines rocky beaches, green hills, crystal clear waters as well as sandy beaches.

Paleokastritsa Monastery
On the highest point of the hills surrounding the area is situated the convent of Paleokastritsa.This is one of the most visited sightseeing points of Corfu.  It was built during the 15 century . The monastery’s museum houses a worth seeing collection of Byzantine icons and ecclesiastical objects.

Around
With Paleokastritsa as starting point someone can visit the traditional settlements of Doukades, Lakones and Krini. The visitor can take a boat ride and visit the sea caves as well.
